OLL 2020 Season July Update

Hello Parents, Players and Volunteers:

I hope this note finds you all safe and managing well in this difficult environment. I am writing today to update you on our League’s plans going forward.

Each season we set out to provide a special experience that makes the game fun for players, coaches and fans. Given the current requirements and restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we have made the very difficult decision that it is not possible to run any type of organized baseball activity this year that would allow kids to experience  the fun and joy of being part of a team, make new friends and celebrate achievements with high fives and fist bumps.

We understand this is a disappointment. We spent a lot of time and energy deciding on the best course of action for this year and given the current COVID-19 landscape, have determined this is the only choice for our league. We are focusing our time and energy on ensuring OLL provides the best community baseball experience for everyone in 2021 and look forward to being back on the fields next season.

We would be remiss not to wish goodbye and good luck to our Senior Division players who unfortunately do not get the chance to play in their final year with Oakville Little League.  Many of them have been part of the league since age 5 in T-Ball.  We thank you for your support over the years and we wish you many successes in your new adventures as you move on to the next stage of your life, and hope you will remember fondly your years with Oakville Little League.

Stay tuned for further updates on our plans for 2021 and please stay safe.

John Sweeney,
