2021 All-Star Program Cancelled

Due to the ongoing impact of the COVID-19 pandemic locally and provincially, the Board of Directors of Oakville Little League has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2021 Little League All Star Program.

Little League International announced on May 3 that the Little League World Series for 12-year-olds would only be played between U.S.-based teams. The World Series tournaments for 13, 14, and 16-year-olds were cancelled.

Those decisions began a chain reaction of cancellations at all levels.

On May 10, Little League Canada cancelled all national championships and tournaments, followed the next day by the cancellation of provincial championships by Little League Ontario. Shortly after Ontario’s announcement, District One Little League also made the difficult decision to cancel all district tournaments.

Pandemic-related restrictions limit what we are able to do as an organization. With most, if not all, other organizations cancelling their programs, tournaments and events, it only made sense that we did the same.

With this, we have made the decision to fully focus on our house league program. Being a true community-based baseball program, we want to ensure those who are registered to play in 2021 will receive the best possible experience that we can deliver within the current environment.

We look forward to seeing all of you out on the baseball diamond this coming summer.
