Important update on our 2021 reopening plans

Oakville Little League continues to work hard in preparing a baseball season for this summer.

Of course, given the restrictions laid out in the provincial government’s “Roadmap to Reopening” plan, we were unable start at our normal time, which has been the first week of May in the past.

However, we are hoping for good news in the coming days.

When permitted to get on the field, we are prepared to move into Step One of our “Roadmap to Summer Baseball” plan, which is “Training Only.” We will continue to train/practice until we are allowed to move into Step Two, which involves enhanced training and practices with fewer restrictions. Step 3 involves gameplay, including some adjustments for pandemic-related protocols, that may extend beyond our normal season-end dates.

In order to properly prepare for a return to action, it is now essential for everyone to review the playing scenarios for your child’s age group.

In these documents, we lay out our plan along with estimated start days, which are subject to change based on the regulations laid out by both the provincial and local governments.

At this time, we are also looking for a commitment to participation for everyone by June 18. Details on our updated refund policy are included.

Obviously, given the safety guidelines laid out by Little League’s governing bodies as well as all three levels of government, everyone involved in Oakville Little League this year, including parents, will need to adjust to adhere to a significant number of important changes.

We ask everyone to review our OLL Return to Play guidelines.
