Oakville Little League continues to be in full swing, reaching its House League playoffs in many divisions. Championship weekend is approaching, meaning planning for the 2023 season is already underway.
An important step in that process is ensuring our Whitecaps All-Star program has Team Managers for each age group, including T-ball 8U, Minor 10U, Major 12U, Junior 14U and Senior 16U.
We are happy to announce that Brennan Carson will be returning as the 10U manager in 2023 and Derek O’Reilley will continue in that role with the 16U squad.
We would like to thank Denis Bovin, this year’s 12U manager, who will not be returning. His dedication to the program will leave behind strong player development and great memories for years to come.
Long-time 14U manager Nick Rigato will also not be returning next summer. Nick has served in the role since 2013, and we would like to thank him for his tireless dedication and the recognition that he has brought to both the program and the league.
More information on the 8U program will be available in the days ahead.
We are now accepting applications from those who may be interested in becoming either our 12U or 14U manager for 2023.
We would like to have the successful candidates in place by Labour Day weekend. This will allow them to participate and coach during our upcoming Fall Ball program.
If you are interested, please send Nick Rigato a one-page note with your contact information, the role you are seeking, why you want to coach at that level and any previous experience and training at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please be prepared to be interviewed between Aug. 28 and Sept. 1. Meetings may take place in person or by phone depending on availability.
