Oakville Little League would like to congratulate our 16U Senior Whitecaps team for defending their provincial championship this weekend in Pembroke.
After finishing the round robin with a 3-1 record, the team defeated the Upper Ottawa Valley Rivercats 7-1 in Sunday’s championship game, featuring by a stellar complete game, 99-pitch effort from starter Eliot Zelem as well as a wonderful defensive effort.
The Whitecaps, led by manager Derek O’Reilley, now move on to the Canadian championships in Ottawa beginning on July 17. The winner of that tournament will compete in the World Series in Easley, South Carolina at the end of the month.
