Ian Harvey

Player & Coach Development Coordinator

Ian has been involved in coaching and instructing with Oakville Little League since 2013. During that time, he has provided instruction to various Whitecaps teams as a coach and guest instructor and also assisted with building development initiatives for the league. He has coached several Oakville Little League teams in the past and is the father of 2 ballplayers that play in the league.

He is currently involved with providing support in coach and player development, working with Oakville Little League on building the Whitecaps and House League programs and provides assistance as a coach for Whitecaps and House League teams.

Ian has previously been a head and assistant coach with the Fieldhouse Pirates baseball program and currently serves as a pitching coordinator and coach.

Prior to moving back home to Oakville, he was a collegiate and professional pitcher. In university, he played at Oklahoma State University, Pepperdine University and Oklahoma City University, where he was an Academic All-American student-athlete. As a professional from 1999-2003, Ian reached AA, playing for 5 seasons in the independent Frontier League, Red Sox, Padres and Phillies organizations. Prior to a career-ending injury in 2003, he was the closer for Team Canada in the 2001 Baseball World Cup and Padres minor league ERA leader in 2002.

Nick Rigato

14U All-Star Manager

Nick has been involved with Oakville Little League since 2001. He has coached at the All-Star level since 2007. His 14U (Junior) team won the 2015 Canadian Junior Little League Championship . His teams were also Junior Provincial Champions in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2019 and National Finalists in 2017. In 2016, Nick’s Intermediate team was Provincial Champions and National Finalists.

Nick was named the 2019 Marthe Dubroy District Volunteer of the Year, which recognizes volunteer efforts at the grass-roots level of Little League Baseball in Canada.

Scott Roberts

12U All-Star Manager

Scott has been involved with Oakville Little League since 2012. He has coached at the All-Star level since 2015 and has been Whitecaps manager since 2016. Scott also coaches at the House League level and is Treasurer for Oakville Little League.

Todd Demone

11U Team Manager

Todd has been involved with Oakville Little League since 2016. He has coached at the All-Star level since 2018 and has been Whitecaps manager since 2019.

Todd has experience working with youth in a variety of organizations, having coached youth soccer and hockey and volunteered with a local Scouts Canada group.

Sports have always been an important part of Todd’s life. He played football at Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB, where he was an Academic All-Canadian and in 1996-97 was awarded the university’s Sportsmanship Award.

Denis Boivin

10U All-Star Manager

Denis Boivin, 10U All-Star Manager

Denis has been involved with OLL since 2010 having coached every age group of OLL house league as well as coaching on the 12U Whitecaps program in 2015 and Managing the 11U Whitecaps team in 2016.

Denis has himself played Elite baseball his entire youth until he was 21 back in Quebec and has completed NCCP in 2019-2020.

Scott Vail

9U Team Manager

Scott has coached in Oakville Little League’s house league program since 2011. He has coached everything from Blastball to Major. He also served as Assistant Coach at the All-Star Level from 2013 to 2019. Scott is also a member of the League’s Board of Directors and has served as Safety Officer for Oakville Little League since 2016.

Scott and his wife Carolyn have 2 boys currently playing in Oakville Little League, Spencer and Jackson. Little Madison is not far behind!

Jason Harvey

8U Team Manager

Jason has been with Oakville Little League since 2015 coaching T-Ball. In 2019 he was the assistant coach of 8U Whitecaps. Jason has been a resident of Oakville for over 35 years and grew up playing in the Oakville baseball system. He moved on to play intercounty baseball with the Guelph Royals and Hamilton Cardinals. Jason is dedicated to promoting playing the game the right way to his players and looks forward to the challenge of coaching the Whitecaps. Jason has completed NCCP Level 1.
