Ian Harvey

Player & Coach Development Coordinator

Ian has been involved in coaching and instructing with Oakville Little League since 2013. During that time, he has provided instruction to various Whitecaps teams as a coach and guest instructor and also assisted with building development initiatives for the league. He has coached several Oakville Little League teams in the past and is the father of 2 ballplayers that play in the league.

He is currently involved with providing support in coach and player development, working with Oakville Little League on building the Whitecaps and House League programs and provides assistance as a coach for Whitecaps and House League teams.

Ian has previously been a head and assistant coach with the Fieldhouse Pirates baseball program and currently serves as a pitching coordinator and coach.

Prior to moving back home to Oakville, he was a collegiate and professional pitcher. In university, he played at Oklahoma State University, Pepperdine University and Oklahoma City University, where he was an Academic All-American student-athlete. As a professional from 1999-2003, Ian reached AA, playing for 5 seasons in the independent Frontier League, Red Sox, Padres and Phillies organizations. Prior to a career-ending injury in 2003, he was the closer for Team Canada in the 2001 Baseball World Cup and Padres minor league ERA leader in 2002.

Derek O’Reilly

16U All-Star Manager

Derek has been coaching in our House League and Whitecap program for the past 10 years. He brings passion and energy to the diamond and is excited to revive the Senior Whitecap program.

Derek played in 2 Canadian Little League Championships (12u & 13U) during his own baseball career and has been a fan of the game ever since.

Nick Rigato

14U All-Star Manager

Nick has been involved with Oakville Little League since 2001. He has coached at the All-Star level since 2007. His 14U (Junior) team won the 2015 Canadian Junior Little League Championship . His teams were also Junior Provincial Champions in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2019 and National Finalists in 2017. In 2016, Nick’s Intermediate team was Provincial Champions and National Finalists.

Nick was named the 2019 Marthe Dubroy District Volunteer of the Year, which recognizes volunteer efforts at the grass-roots level of Little League Baseball in Canada.

Doug Enright

14U Select Manager

Doug has coached in our house league program since 2016 and has completed NCCP modules on pitching and hitting at the Toronto Blue Jays Academy National Coaching Clinic in 2018 and 2019.

He describes his coaching style as “encouraging and supportive with an emphasis on individual player development within a team-first framework.”

Denis Boivin

12U All-Star Manager

Denis Boivin, 10U All-Star Manager

Denis has been involved with OLL since 2010, coaching every age group in our house league program. He also coached the 12U Whitecaps program in 2015 and was team manager of the 11U team in 2016.

Denis played elite baseball until the age of 21 in Quebec. He brings a significant level of experience and enthusiasm to the game. Denis completed the NCCP in 2019-2020.

Jason Caldarelli

12U Select Manager

Jason has been a coach and volunteer for several teams with OLL over the past few years.

In addition, he has coached a number of seasons for the Oakville Rangers hockey organization.

Brennan Carson

10U All-Star Manager

Brennan Carson has been coaching baseball at different levels for the past 13 years, including Oakville Little League house league, five years as a Whitecaps Manager and three years coaching high school baseball. Brennan coached a Whitecaps 10U team to a district championship and Provincial Finals in 2014.

Brennan has a passion for youth sports with two simple objectives: have fun and get better. In addition to baseball, he has coached skiing and soccer. He has two sons that played for the Whitecaps and now both play Ontario University baseball.

Sean Williams

8U All-Star Manager

Sean has been involved with Oakville Little League as a coach for several teams over the past few years. As a parent to two young boys, the family is active across many sports including baseball, hockey, soccer, golf, and skiing. In addition to baseball coaching, Sean has coached high school football teams at Oakville Trafalgar and has also coached with the Oakville Rangers hockey club.

Sean has also volunteered his time with several organizations including the Canadian Toy Association, PetSmart Charities of Canada, Boys & Girls Clubs of Toronto, and as a Co-Founder of LWW Children’s Foundation.
